  • About

Participating in the Spirit of Springfield Golf Classic is a great way to support the Spirit of Springfield and enjoy a relaxing day on one of Springfield's finest municipal golf courses.

The friendly tournament is a Shotgun Scramble with additional competions on the course including Closest to the Pin and the Longest Drive.  The team with the lowest score takes home the Joe Superneau Award.

Lunch is served on the course and every golfer will recieve a $25 gift card to a Springfield restaurant plus a $10 gift card to Uno's Pizziera & Grill and a $5 gift card to Dunkin'.

Golfers can improve their score by purchasing Mulligans and further support the Spirit of Springfield by buying raffle tickets.

    History

The Spirit of Springfield Golf Classic started in organization's early years.  It was first played at the Springfield Country Club and then traveled to several area courses before finding its home at Franconia Golf Course.

In addition to the Joe Superneau Award, the Spirit of Springfield has also presented the Mayor's Cup to the winner of a putting contest between area mayor's.
